-WINE & PUPPETS:
Classic puppet animation is still a hand-made and meditative process, as well as is the traditional winemaking too. Together with selected Moravian eco-vineyards, we organise wine tasting and degustation of the Moravian traditional farmer´s charcuteries, shepherd cheeses and other bio-quality delicacies around the dinner table of the museum. During the inform evening, it is possible to watch 2-4 puppet films according to the choice of the visitors, and observe the working process of puppet animation more closely. For groups from 6 to 12 persons, book 14 days prior to the estimated date. Price per person 35 €, including wine and tapas.
-WORKSHOPS:
We organise various workshops and lectures every year on the different aspects of puppet making and stop motion. Please look our front page for the timetables and the subject of the workshops.
-FINNISH FILM CAFÈ “KINOKAVÀRNA“:
In the museum, we show twice a month new Finnish short films in a relaxed, living-room like atmosphere. Apart our regular chamber screenings, our partner cinema “Ewald“ in the nearby Narodni street hosts several times a year special screenings of Finnish and other Scandinavian short films. Please look front page for the timetables.
-ANIMATHEKA:
On request, it is possible to make a private reservation of our screening room and watch our archive animations and the films of our partner producers.
-SPECIAL EVENTS:
Every year, we are cooperating with local Czech festivals, promoting not only the puppet animation, but also Finnish films, design and contemporary art & music. Previous years we have had events like the screening of the documentary film “Tom of Finland“, directed by Ilppo Pohjola, together with Prague Pride festival, Kino Ewald and club Vzorkovna. A thematic exhibition of modern Finnish textile art from the Finlayson company, with the prints of Tom of Finland´s most beloved characters, was accompanying the film.
